Without pioneers, this country wouldn’t exist. No one would have tamed the land, no one would have pushed into the wilderness. It involved risk, sacrifice, perseverance, and hard-work. In this sense, Christians are pioneers. They must push forward even faithfulness even when fruitfulness is lacking, as in the case of Jeremiah.
This message was given Father’s Day Sunday. Pastor Thomas was out-of-town with youth, and Rev. Rodney Phillips brought the message that morning.
God gives us grace, but grace is the gift that keeps giving. Paul actually names five ways grace continues to give gifts to us beyond redemption itself. As believers, we short change our lives when we overlook these gifts, and we cheapen the awesome gift that grace truly is.
